This is a post for Madison Woods #FridayFictioners
It had finally happened Nuclear Winter. Why hadn’t we listened to all, the scientist warnings. No we’d listened to the politicians and were crying now. Worried they said about nuclear power being used for weapons of mass destruction, they had incited us to war with Iran. We’d heard it all before but we were sucked in again none the less. Now I look out my window at the nuclear fallout and dream of days of old of summer and sunshine. For a moment I stared outside and thought I could see sunlight, but it’s only another bomb going off. We’re all doomed.

That makes me want to move to Saturn! Or maybe Ursa Minor. Nicely done, Sheilagh. :)
ReplyDeleteNobody ever listens to scientists--it's not what we want to hear. Good use of the prompt.
ReplyDeleteThank you Russell

ReplyDeleteHi Sheilagh,
ReplyDeleteI'm commenting here after reading most of your posts while searching for an entry for Madison Woods' FridayFictioneers 100 words party. I missed this one two weeks ago. Love the bomb as sunrise and the 'We got fooled again' message.
I hope you find this response. I want you to know I'm reading your work.
Aloha,
Doug
