“You’ve
heard about fate? Well sorry but this is your fate, buddy!” the murderer
explained.
“Please!
Couldn’t you let me go? I won’t tell! I’ll move to another city. Besides who
would listen to a homeless man?”
“Someone
would. My Angel would.”
The homeless
man then smiled as if to gain trust from this killer, “You won’t hurt the lady
who owns the store, will you?” he asked
“I would
never harm my Angel. How dare you?” the killer responded outraged.

“I didn’t see you before; were you behind a door?”
The person’s body practically blocks the door.
“Of course you didn’t, I didn’t want you to see me.”
“What do you want from me?” asked the man feeling
fear.
“Not a lot. I am a little peckish,” the other person
explained.
“Here take it.”
The man then offered his plate of food.
“No thank-you that’s not the snack I wanted.” the
other person explained.

Here is my excerpt (page 77, line 7 … the next 7 lines from "A Diller A Dollar A Really Dead Scholar" the sequel to "A Penny Saved A Murder Earned" that I am working on.
“What is this high school? Where you put your lips
is no never mind to me,”
“For your information she kissed me and I told her I
was involved,” Emmett replied hurt and annoyed.
“Well sure, then that makes it all better,” Lily
sarcastically and then appeared to dismiss the subject, “What kind of
chocolates are these?”
“Creams. A little birdie told me you like cream
filled chocolates,” Emmett answered still not sure what is going on.
“Well, thank-you for the flowers and chocolate,” Lily said. “Goodbye now.”
“Do you forgive me?” Emmett asked realizing that Lily was still angry.
“Forgive you for what?” Lily asked sounding
surprised.
Emmett wondered if he ever understand women. Was she mad or not? He decided she wasn't, the chocolates had worked.
